23-year -old Marcus Anton Milton was seen by a Sheriff's officer just a few moments before he crashed.

The officer watched him speed by about 40 miles over the speed limit, then run a red light. When the officer caught up with him on Boulevard Street near west 12th Street a few minutes later, he saw the Ford had flipped off the road and overturned in a vacant lot.

Milton died at the scene. His passenger, 20-year old Victoria Young, was not wearing a seat belt. After the crash she was taken to Shands Jacksonville and listed in good condition Monday. Milton was wearing his seat belt.
