DUI Woman Could Get 25 Years for Auto Accident

Lisa Green appeared before a judge Thursday morning facing two counts of DUI causing serious bodily injury and one count of DUI manslaughter.

Green, 43, allegedly got drunk and drove her Mitsubishi off the road at I-95 and Baymeadows just days before Thanksgiving. Three men were working surveying in the area and Green plowed into Mike McAndrews killing him. The other two men were hospitalized and are still in therapy and a long road to recovery.

Green did not expressed any remorse when the cameras were on her Thursday.

This is not her first DUI. But the road may be up for Green. This incident could earn her up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

Green has three other DUI charges, driving with a suspended license. She has also been charged with fleeing police.

McAndrews was the father of four children. His boss says he was a very reliable worker.

Mike Goldman with the Florida Department of Transportation said tragedies like this could be avoided if drivers would slow down.
"Where this happened is one of the highest traveled corridors in the entire area, if not the most heavily traveled," Goldman said.

Her own attorney say his client's future is uncertain.
