How often do we report of the death of teenagers when alcohol is involved?

Unfortunately for 20-year old Ross Roberts and 18-year old Ashleigh Cook, that is likely what contributed to their deaths when the pickup truck they were in ended up in a boat ramp crash into Julington Creek last July4th.
Roberts may not have seen a flashing red light at the top of the ramp before driving the truck into the water.

Their bodies were found when someone launching a boat at the Hood Landing Road ending hit the pickup underwater. They had been intoxicated.

Now another part of the puzzle of how the underage teens obtained the alcohol has apparently been answered.

This week four young men have been cited for supplying the young couple with alcohol.

A Sheriff's Office and Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco investigation has ended with charges that Walter Esser, 21- years-old, supplied the alcohol 20-year old Joshua Howard and 23-year old Daniel Maestas and 28-year old Jeffrey Newton allegedly had the open house party where youngsters gathered.

All four must appear before a Duval County judge in 30 days.
