The Florida Highway Patrol is trying to find the driver of a tractor-trailer truck that hit and killed a motorcyclist Wednesday morning, and then kept driving southbound.

It happened just north of Airport Road when the motorcyclist from Woodbine, GA drove in front of the back half of the tandum-trailer. The motorcycle driver was ejected and run over by the rig's back wheels while the trucker continued driving south. He could be charged with a felony-leaving the scene of an accident.

While troopers investigated the accident, traffic backed up nearly to the Georgia border. No word on why the 32-year old motorcyclist was changing lanes, but troopers were doing traffic enforcement at the time.

Another accident that morning this time on on I-10 eastbound slowed traffic for about three hours when a truck dumped logs on the highway after it overturned. It was a bad morning for traffic as a chemical truck hit a barrier and spilled its load across the westbound I-10. No one was injured in either traffic accident.
