Police Need Your Help Finding Hit-and-Run Driver

A colleague of mine has asked us to put out the word on a hit-and-run that took the life of a family friend. The driver has not been apprehended.

This happened early Saturday morning in Panama City Beach. 33-year-old Clint S. Malone was an attorney from Vero Beach visiting friends and family in the area. Early Saturday morning, Malone was out for an early morning bicycle ride on Thomas Drive. He was hit from behind and killed. The driver quickly left the scene.

Malone was a 1993 graduate of Bay High School but had since moved away. He leaves a wife and two young children.

Floridians should keep their eyes open because hit-and-run drivers generally know they hit someone and may just be trying to flee town. Police are looking for a pick-up truck, possibly maroon in color with a loud exhaust. Another vehicle, perhaps a white truck or SUV was involved. Either vehicle would likely have damage to the front or side from the impact.
