Early this morning in Arlington a failed traffic light lead to a school bus crash which could have been much worse.

Traffic lights failed at Merrill and Rogero Roads. Around 7am, a driver rammed their car into a school bus with 12 students aboard.

Luckily none of the students was hurt, nor was the driver. But the car's driver was taken to Shands. There is no word yet on his or her condition.

While road crews tried to fix the traffic light, it's a reminder that early morning and afternoon drivers must be aware of large, yellow busses which carry precious cargo. Motorists who notice traffic lights are out, need to call that into your local police department to avoid all potential for auto accidents by motorists unfamiliar with particular intersections.
