Royal Caribbean has turned around its cruise ship, Freedom of the Seas, after a man was reported missing about 8:30 Tuesday morning.

The 24-year old was travelling with his family among more than 4,000 passengers sailing from Miami to Puerto Rico.

He was last seen early Monday morning on a balcony outside his room.

The ship turned around to help the Coast Guard in the search.

We are determining how this will impact the rest of the sailing," said Michael Sheehan, a spokesman for Royal Caribbean Cruises
.
